Greetings!
Welcome back! I hope you had a refreshing, rejuvenating
summer, and are ready to create the best fall
yet! I know I sure am, after taking time off to
enjoy those (somewhat) lazy hazy days of summer.
As I let myself relax and feel totally at peace
with the world, incredibly wonderful opportunities
and many little miracles came my way.

I believe the opportunities are always there;
sometimes we are receptive to seeing them, and
at other times we are not. As Earl Nightingale
said, The mind moves in the direction of
our currently dominant thoughts. We see
what we believe; if we believe life is awful,
we see and experience awful things, if we believe
everything is a miracle, we see and experience
miracles.
What we see, feel and think is a result of the
energy we have. Energy is created by our physical,
emotional, mental and spiritual practices. When
I am filled with positive energy, all the little
miracles and wonderful opportunities are available
to me. When Im feeling depleted, it seems
that not a lot of good things are coming my way.
Are you filling yourself up with positive energy,
or being depleted by energy drainers?

We all know to feed ourselves physically we need
to get enough sleep, eat nutritious foods, drink
enough water, and exercise. Knowing and doing
are two different things! Last spring my eating
went from eating healthy to eating for instant
gratification (junk food & ice cream), thus
resulting in weight gain and lower energy. (I
was on a call last week with a multi-millionaire,
Keith, who said there is only one reason for failure
in all endeavours- and that reason is going for
instant gratification.) I also was living on less
sleep than I need- because I was busy doing what
I love! It was a great reminder to me to get back
on track with healthy choices if I wanted to enjoy
those high energy levels.
How do you feed yourself mentally? Do you engage
in life-long learning? It doesnt have to
be university credit type courses, it could be
learning a new dance (salsa anyone?) or craft
or? It also is becoming aware of the choices we
make, and choosing energy enhancing things rather
than energy drainers. Check out your self-talk-
are you telling yourself it is going to be a great
day and you are going to be successful in all
you do, or are you telling yourself its
another blah day? Are your thoughts life-enhancing
or self- limiting? Our thoughts create our feelings,
which in turn determine our actions, giving us
our results.
Have you ever noticed the connection between
the organization of your home or office and your
energy? When I have a messy home or lots of unfinished
business, I feel drained. For instance, I'm in
a great mood, filled with positive energy, then
I walk in the front door and find the house is
a disaster. My mood immediately goes down and
my energy is zapped.
Emotionally, are you clearing your mind of past
deeds and actions, finishing off unfinished communications
and resentments with others? Practicing forgiveness?
Journaling is a great way to complete some of
these things.
Spiritually, there are many ways to feed yourself.
Prayer, thanking God for the day, giving gratitude
for all the beauty in your life. Starting the
day with an inspirational reading or quote, meditating.
Remembering that we are not alone, that God or
Universal Life Force or Higher Power or whatever
you choose to call it is always with us.

Brian Tracy said, 'Just as your car
runs more smoothly and requires less energy to go
faster and farther when the wheels are in perfect
alignment, you perform better when your thoughts,
feelings, emotions, goals, and values are in balance.'
So here we are, the last 100 days of this year.
Are your goals in alignment with who you are and
what you truly want in your life? Are you feeding
yourself the premium gas you deserve so you can
run at optimum performance?
My challenge to you is to write a list of all
your energy zappers - the things that deplete
your energy. Next write a list of all the things
that give you energy. Now, pick one thing on your
list of energy zappers and commit to take action
to eliminate it.Then pick one thing that gives
you energy- and commit to adding more of that
to your life this month. When you finish one,
move onto another. Lets make this the most
energetic fall yet! There is nothing more energizing
than taking a step in a positive direction, moving
your energy in the direction of your dream.
